RV and Trailer Towing: Capacity, Access and Destination Checks
Moving an RV or trailer requires a plan based on the complete vehicle-and-load combination.

Moving an RV or trailer requires a plan based on the complete vehicle-and-load combination. Personal trailer towing and professional recovery are different situations. Use the manufacturer's instructions and confirm that the chosen provider or tow vehicle is appropriate.
Identify the setup
Give the RV or trailer make, model, loaded condition and dimensions. Identify whether it is a motorhome, travel trailer or another design. Describe axle, wheel, suspension or coupling damage before equipment is assigned.
Do not assume capacity
Vehicle, trailer, hitch, load and braking requirements must be assessed together. Do not choose a tow vehicle using an unverified generic weight figure from an article. Consult the applicable manufacturer ratings and qualified advice for the actual combination.
Explain pickup access
Tell the provider about slopes, soft ground, gates, overhead clearance and space to maneuver. A disabled RV that cannot roll or steer presents different loading problems from a roadworthy trailer. Off-road recovery cannot be assumed from ordinary towing availability.
Arrange a suitable destination
Confirm the receiving location can accommodate the RV's dimensions and condition. Discuss when it can be received and where it will be placed. Transport does not imply repair, campsite booking or secure storage.
Confirm the exact service
Ask a capable provider about available equipment, authorization, current ETA and the full price for the proposed trip. Verify specialist RV or trailer capability rather than assuming every advertised towing service covers it.
Standard vehicle requests can start with the towing information. RV and trailer arrangements require separate confirmation for the actual setup.
